- What brings you here?
- I am a sociologist fascinated by subjects like social change, empowerment of communities, developmental studies, change, especially whole system change processes, collective intelligence, everything that connects humans with each other and empowers them
I'm very interested in the social effects of technology, especially social media/ web 2.0. and how this enhances possibilities to connect with each other, creates a new dimension for democracy, voicing and participation.
I am also a communication specialist, fascinated by the (connecting and healing) power of dialogue, metaphors, i'm interesting in the analysis of discourse, how language shapes our reality (especially media- and political discourse) and the communicative power of storytelling. I Love to follow new trends in communication development, again especially in the area of virtual communities, communities of practice, new forms of collaboration and dialogue on change
I consider myself a humanist, I love to explore our human nature and its beauty. Our creative potential, uniqueness and our further development. Humanity is an unfinished project! I'm a lifelong learner, i love life and the fact that learning is our essence, makes me appreciate life even more. Everyday is a learning adventure
I work in the education sector as a policy advisor, I also lecture at the University of Aruba (a young teacher) and I'm orienting myself on the idea to start my own business, as an independent consultant (change & Learning) and researcher.
I'm inspired by minds like Bohm (dialogue), Senge (systems thinking, fifth dicipline, Schramer (theory U), Krishnamutri (spirtual development), Holger Nauheimer (Change Handbook tool) Freire (empowerment, critical literacy), Wenger (communities of practice), kevin kelly (technology), Manuel Castells (networked society), Ken Wilber (spiral dynamics), Jung (archetypes and collective consciousness), Lackoff & Johnson (metaphors), habermans (communicative action), Chomsky etc. etc. (so many to name) I'm inspired by methods like the World Cafe and Appreciative Inquiry
My favorite fairytale is Alice in Wonderland, since it can help me visualize change a lot. I believe in the regenerative metaphor of the ecosystem (not ego-system: everything is fragmented): everything is connected to each other and everything has an effect on everything, balance is the essence of life. Culture of connection
I'm nature lover, mind mapper, a wife, an eternal student, I celebrate love, life, change, dialogue and humanity and it's rights

- Being part of a collective intelligence ecosystem. By sharing experience and knowledge on a lot of subjects. By being a friendly traveler/companion on the journey of change. By weaving connections with the group. Specific knowledge of the themes of metaphor, storytelling, symbolism and how this affects our frameworks and experience of reality and hence change.

- To learn, to connect, to meet new people that also believe that the only constant is change. this journey is A catalyzing step for the start of my dream career as a consultant :-)
